Removing Blackheads





Removing blackheads are possible, but you are going to have to put some effort into finding a blackhead cure. If you have been wooed by promises of easy blackhead cures, you’ve been fed the wrong information. The best way to remove blackheads is through a consistent skin care regimen and a willingness to try new blackhead treatments.

By far, the most important way to cure blackheads is to simply practice a proper facial regimen. This regimen should include washing your face twice a day (once in the morning and once before going to bed) and exfoliating once a week.

Washing your face removes excess dirt and bacteria from your skin – two things that can reduce the bacteria on your face and thus reduce the chances of an acne outbreak.  You can use either mild blackhead/acne soap or some sort of blackhead face wash. You may want to use a toner after washing your face to help restore the PH balance to your face.

Exfoliating is very important – you can see a remarkable difference in your complexion after a couple months. Exfoliation is basically a much deeper skin clean. Exfoliation works by removing the dead skin cells from your face and giving your pores a deeper clean. The bacterium on your face is reduced – and this can go a long way to preventing acne breakouts and eliminating blackheads.

If you want to permanently get rid of blackheads, you are ultimately going to have to reduce the amount of skin oil produced by your face. Blackheads from when the skin oil of your face mix with dead skin cells and dirt. By reducing the oil produced in your skin, you can reduce the number of blackheads. There are blackhead medications that help to reduce oil production – benzyl peroxide or salicylic acid are popular blackhead and acne medication. Both help to reduce oil production of the face and kill bacteria.

Keep in mind there are many blackhead treatments available online that may be very effective. There has been a lot of research the past decade into blackhead and acne removal and some new blackhead medications have proven very effective. However, you will have to find these by searching online. Over the counter blackhead medication tends not to be very effective, though this can vary from person to person.

Removing blackheads can be tough – you are really going to have to be persistent. You cannot simply start one treatment for a week than give up if you don’t see instant results. It can take more than a month before you start to see the effects of a treatment – so be patient. If one blackhead medication does not work, simply try a different one. Eventually, you will find a treatment that just works.
